North Rhine Westphalia: Rhineland and Ruhr region
Between Roman steps, the grounding pre-Hill country, between nature reserves as the Eifel in the west and the Sauerland in the east with endless hiking trails and castles and on the other hand impressive industrial areas, buildings and harbors around or the brown coal mining area in the east.

Benrath Palace & Park
The pleasure palace in the south of Düsseldorf. Elector Karl Theodor von der Pfalz had Nicolas de Pigage build a maison de plaisance with wonderful, spacious gardens between 1756 and 1773. Zeche Zollverein Essen
The “most beautiful colliery” in the world
The Zollverein colliery and coking plant in Essen is a landmark of the Ruhr region, a monument to industrial culture and a symbol of the transformation of what was once the largest coal mine in the world into an attractive location for culture and leisure, education and business. Today, Zollverein stands for an identity-forming culture of remembrance in the Ruhr region and at the same time for forward-looking site development.

Drachenfels
Drachenfels is a mountain in the Siebengebirge on the Rhine between Bad Honnef and Königswinter, south of Cologne. The ruins of Drachenfels Castle with its magnificent views over the countryside, its use as a subject of Rhine Romanticism and the inviting surroundings for a walk are very popular. More Infos.. The „Museum Insel Hombroich“ is a unique and special place to come to rest and be inspired by a wonderful park with art. It invites you to really take some time out and be by yourself. It’s not easy to get to, but if you want to do something nice for a good half day, this is a good destination.

„Schloß Burg“ is a wunderful place in the „Bergisches Land“ in Solingen. Inside you will learn about the „Ritterzeit“. The old castle have a lot of renovations until end of 2025. Around the castle there a traditional restaurants with a fanstastic view and some small shops for souvernirs, tradional bakery, wooden swords or wool.
