Between Roman steps, the grounding pre-Hill country, between nature reserves as the Eifel in the west and the Sauerland in the east with endless hiking trails and castles and on the other hand impressive industrial areas, buildings and harbors around or the brown coal mining area in the east. Benrath Palace & Park
The pleasure palace in the south of Düsseldorf. Elector Karl Theodor von der Pfalz had Nicolas de Pigage build a maison de plaisance with wonderful, spacious gardens between 1756 and 1773. Drachenfels
Drachenfels is a mountain in the Siebengebirge on the Rhine between Bad Honnef and Königswinter, south of Cologne. The ruins of Drachenfels Castle with its magnificent views over the countryside, its use as a subject of Rhine Romanticism and the inviting surroundings for a walk are very popular. More Infos..
